Elmstone Engineering Ltd is a Structural Engineering Company formed in 2014 based on the breadth and depth of the previous experience of the Directors John Sutton and Fran Poole.

The Directors have a track record for producing cost effective, aesthetically pleasing designs and imaginative solutions to overcome development constraints and construction challenges; together with consistently high standards of service to support client needs. We are a client-focused practice that believes in providing a high level of service throughout the design and construction process.

Whether an extension for a home-owner, a housing estate for a developer or commercial premises for a business we can guide clients from inception to completion.

John

John graduated with a degree in Architectural Engineering and has over 20 years construction related experience. He has worked in many structural engineering consultancies in the commercial, retail and residential sectors from refurbishment work in historic buildings to new build multi storey office developments as a Structural Engineer. He also has diverse experience from working for Architectural and Surveying Practices as well as two foreys into the Isle of Wight Council’s Planning Department as a Planning Enforcement Officer for new build developments and Listed Buildings.

The Team

Elmstone Engineering Ltd work closely with other reliable experienced consultants and small practices to resource all projects. These include Planning Consultants, Architectural Technicians, Party Wall, Building and Quantity Surveyors. Elmstone Engineering Ltd is based in the Isle of Wight with our sister company, Elmstone Design LLP.
