Planning permission for a pair of semi-detached 2 storey houses had already been obtained when Elmstone Design were asked to design the roof structure by AM Faithfull and Sons; it soon became apparent that with some simple alterations to the existing floor layouts and an structurally ngineered & designed roof that a third floor offering additional bedroom accommodation could be achieved within the same footprint and height. Elmstone Design LLP subsequently obtained Planning Permission for the alteration with an architecturally sensitive roof design so the additional volume is not apparent from the public road.
